Change The Game

Initiative to get teenage girls to consider a career in game development.

The Change the Game Design Challenge is an initiative to inspire teens to build a more inclusive future for mobile gaming. Of the millions of people in the United States who enjoy games on Google Play, 49% are women. Yet only 23% of game developers are women. To address this disparity, Google Play invited girls ages 14-30 to submit their ideas, artwork and/or vision for a chance to have a real game created and live in the Google Play Store.

Once the five finalists were chosen, they came to California for a weekend where they met their mentors and got to be a part of the anthem film.
